About Us

Free guitar tools, built to be fast, private, and easy to use.

OpenChord is a small collection of browser-based guitar tools — a tuner, metronome, tap tempo, chord transposer, chord finder, and fretboard trainer. Every tool runs entirely in your browser, so there is nothing to download and nothing to install.

We built OpenChord because practicing guitar shouldn't require a drawer full of gadgets or a paid subscription. Whether you're a beginner tuning up for the first time or an experienced player transposing a song on the fly, these tools are here to help you spend more time playing and less time fumbling.

Our mission

Make essential guitar practice tools free, fast, and available to everyone, on any device — without accounts, ads, or paywalls.

What we value

Privacy first — everything is computed locally on your device.
Speed — pages load instantly with no sign-up or app download.
Simplicity — clean, focused tools that get out of your way.
